Would You Still Love Me?

I often think of how society has become too comfortable saying, “Who is cool or isn’t.” I thank God, I learned (the hard way) that I, only have to accept myself. So I do. When you love yourself, you don’t give a darn, about who doesn’t love, like or accept you. Self-Love trumps it ALL.

I’ve found that most people, have the same issues, no matter, their color, status or origin, We all want to be loved. So it’s simple, put out, what you want, returned to you. Give love, if you want love. Just realize you can’t give, what you don’t have..please pay attention to those who have love for themselves and those who don’t. It matters. Avoid, the unhealed. Unfortunately, not all of us are afforded the space to be our true selves. In a perfect world, we could all be ourselves, without a care in the world. I wrote this, thinking of so many brothers that are struggling with their sexuality. Please stop stressing that guys and start to walk in your truth. No one has the right to tell you who to date, of course unless it’s children. Please stop letting people, who have no idea on who they truly are…make you, alter your truth. Take your power back. Only what you think, matters. I’m tired of hearing of suicidal men…killing themselves or others, completely destroying lives, over their sexuality. Are you serious? Bump these fools out here. Grow up. Be honest with your sexual partners. Did you hear what I said here?? Your honesty is only, for your sexual partner, no-one else has a right to pry…Why do they even care. Please. What you prefer, is only your business, that’s between consenting adults. If you aren’t intimate with them, bump them and their opinion. Be selective, on who y’all are intimate with, everything ain’t for everyone…tell everyone else to “Kick Rocks.” Yes, that’s slang.

That way, a potential partner can either take it or leave it. They don’t accept it, cool. You must become ok with that. Stop running from rejection, y’all are damn men. Own your truth. Bump who doesn’t like it. Only date who accepts your truth and do you. Life is so much easier that way. Stop all this fronting, fellas. It’s Fugazi. No more apologizing for being you. It’s annoying. The people judging, have no clue on themselves. What do you care? That’s on them, so leave it right there with them. Do you, accept you? Then, that’s all that really matters. So my answer, to my title brothers, is: Yes, I’ll still love you…just don’t take my choice away from me and we’re cool. It’s a respect thing.Always give people the right to choose. Always.

I’ve learned to give people back their burdens. Don’t waste my time trying to make me or others, your beard. That’s how you will fail, not because of your sexual preference. You only fail because you’re wearing a mask and not walking in your truth. Never be embarrassed to be yourself. No one’s opinion of you matter…only your opinion of you, matters. This is how people blackmail and extort others. They hunt for people that are hiding their truth for whatever reason…then, along comes a creep extorting that weakness. Everything ain’t about me, people have to work out their own salvation. I stay out of that now…and, I let them. “What they eat, don’t make me sh*t.” That’s slang.

Move forward, regardless. Grow up, people aren’t perfect. Stop expecting them to be. Heal, so we can enjoy life.. We’ve got to get over ourselves. No one knows it all, relax. Believe it or not, a lot of people don’t care what your preference is, if you’re honest and up front with them, first. People mess up, when they take the choice away, from others. Don’t do it.
