Before, I learned the importance of why one must master Self..If asked, I would agree that sex was at the top of the list when selecting a partner. Thank God, I know better now. Won’t he do it..? I don’t need to go in to detail, y’all get it…We’ve all seen it before..it’s in the headlines, daily and believe it or not, I’m not judging any of them. I just realized, why it’s important when one selects a mate to strongly consider, if one has mastered thy self. Y’all can believe what you want but when I pondered on this thought more, I noticed lots of powerful people being taken down from just sex. That’s deeply disturbing. People that worked so hard, to accomplish their goals and achieve so much in their lives, were being deduced to their sexuality. Wow. More often than not, if it makes the news..it’s only because people were dragged because of an urge. That’s wild to me. But I get it..D & Bubble Gum. Anywhooo, those that are not famous, have the luxury of doing/being stupid or reckless and not being called out on it. One can pretty much get over it and move on with one’s life. Yet; The famous don’t have that luxury. That’s not cool. Why is that? Are we happy to see others, struggle with their flesh because we have? If so, why? So, I made a conscious decision to begin to view sex differently. I call it, “D & Bubble Gum” because so many men, don’t realize women don’t want men that everyone can have either. Let me explain, a lot of men think women just accept or are ok in knowing that they sleep around..We’re not. Just like y’all want exclusivity, so do we. I’m the first to admit that, I was programmed differently growing up also but after experiencing heartbreak from womanizers, I reluctantly began to understand why, me being a Man-eater wasn’t cool either. It matters how we treat others. I was as wild as the next, so I get it, do you. I’m just simply suggesting, all stay out of commitments until they have sowed their wild oats …D & Bubble Gum. Someone that wants to build with you, doesn’t want the extra mess that comes with one that hasn’t conquered themselves yet. Lying and playing all those mind games..Baby, kick rocks. Why? Because that mindset only opens the door to chaos and destruction, usually accompanied by weirdos, who don’t know how to let go and move on. I’ve had exes that did goofy stuff like stalking and other foolish things and it did nothing but turn me off. Why? Because it showed me that they were not dealing with their personal issues. I can love the ground you walk on..I still ain’t running behind you, boo. Why? Because when I was with you, I did what was necessary to make it work. It’s on you to see the value in that, if not, I’m moving on. It isn’t because I didn’t care, it’s because you don’t care enough about yourself to do the work on you. I can’t build anything solid on that..It’s not real, it’s just a fun time but it won’t last. I build on solid foundations only or I can do without it. Why? Because anyone or situation can come along and knock it off track and just destroy it. Not my hard work. So with that said, I’m good, they can have it. It’s now viewed, as a distraction, only…just something or someone that was sent to waste my time or keep me stuck until I master my self. D & Bubble Gum. I remember, being reckless with many of hearts growing up but one guy stood out because of how he dealt with me, after hurting his feelings. He said something that stuck with me..He said, “Trina, It will hurt to get you out of my system but I must.” He was a little older than me but his name, was exactly what he was. New Yorkers with our Five Percenter’s name. Wink. He accepted truth in that moment, I was reckless and did not care who I’d hurt. Guess what? He absolutely made the right call…to leave it alone. I wasn’t ready for anything serious. That’s, D & Bubble Gum, folks. Too immature and selfish for a relationship. Too busy playing mind-games.
