Transitioning from a high school drop out, to graduating from a HBCU, earning my Masters and then, becoming a Teacher wasn’t an easy one…especially for an adoptee. Odds were certainly stacked against me. Everything about my life said, “I was the least likely to make anything positive out of myself.” I’ve discovered, I beat the odds, regardless. There’s no better feeling than finding your own way.

Growing up in the hood, developed my personality and perseverance. It’s where I felt most free, didn’t have to talk proper or keep up the status quo. There, I honed, speaking from the heart and becoming authentically me. Sure, I cuss too much and blah, blah, etc. Whatever. Worry about you, Over here, I’m focused on doing ME. I share my opinion on life under my “BLOG” section on each site…Where I offer no apologies for being me. My duality, alchemized brute force into self-empowerment!
