KATRINA

Do you know the meaning of your name? Well, as you may have guessed by now…My name is Katrina, which is how I came up with the nick name…“TRIDDY KAT.” In Ancient Greek, the meaning of the name Katrina is: Pure, Clear. Some say, “Katrina” is of German origin. Others believe, it’s an English name, Originally from the Greek name Aikaterine. In both, German and Greek it means “PURE” and implies a gentle yet assertive demeanor that cannot be intimidated. Since, I’m a Fire element, knowing fire also, purifies. Did you know that the name, Katrina is also a variant that came from the Greek Goddess, Hekate, which is also spelled as Hecate? Catriona, which is Scottish and Irish form of Katherine, from the Greek katharos meaning pure, natural, clear. In English, Katrina name meaning Pure, is associated with lucky number 11, a master number. Hot Damn. Now, this caught my interest immediately because this particular Goddess is said to be Isis, some believe she’s the daughter of Zeus, others believe she’s Apollo’s, twin sister. Hekate is known as the Goddess of Magic and the Underworld. Hekate is also said to be known as the Goddess of witchcraft. I was shocked until I looked more into her. I use to pay stuff like that no mind until HBO’s “LOVECRAFT COUNTRY” came out. I looooved that show. It truly opened my eyes to a world, within a world. I choose to see beyond the veil. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter but I view it as entertainment only…when I viewed Lovecraft Country, I realized there’s hidden gems in other realms. That’s when I began to open my eyes and see. My respect for the world of Mysticism has grown, tremendously. I’ve always greatly respected the Spiritual Realm but Lord, do I respect it more now. I stopped taking things for granted. Which always leads me back to giving all praise to the Creator of all that is and ever will be. Man, when I tell y’all, God is amazing! Okay, so back to Hekate…I had a person from the official haters section that I spoke of in my article of “Family or Killers?” https://triddykatsmeow.com/family-or-killers/ try to speak of me playing with the Arts. Firstly, how would that person know? Secondly, How is it that people can accuse people of just doing any thing with no official receipts just because they don’t like or care for them? To the hater, I say, “Sit your goofy *ss self down somewhere.” When someone says stupid things like that, I call them out and ask the accuser,“And you know this how?” I will never understand how adults can be so childish. What are we ten years old now? Please. Smh.

Now, do y’all see why I put them in that category? They deserve to be right there…in the official haters section. Plus, who else does that kind of mess but a hater. Just messy. So, I play them just how Rapper,“Take Off” suggests in his hit song, “MESSY.” “Don’t let that _ _in…cause she’s too messy.Who the * them _ _ with? Get out my section.” Lol. That’s the perfect song for haters.

Anywhoo, The Greek Goddess, Hekate is said to be allowed in and out of both realms, at will, of the living and the dead…I was shocked but intrigued. I was most impressed learning of her duality…balance. She’s known as The Goddess of good and evil. That’s polarity, folks. Hekate is said to have Polecats and Hell-Hounds,(dogs) as some of her frequent companions. She was also cited for the use of watch dogs. Now, how freaking cool is that? There’s so much more interesting stuff about her but I will leave the rest for those of you, that are like me, that love to discover these type of things on your own and have fun with it.

May I suggest that you guys, go look into the meaning and origin of your name. Look to see if your own personality fits any of the characteristics or attributes of your name.
